Building Hope and a Brighter Future for Our Children

Naval, Biliran – August 11, 2025 – In celebration of Indigenous Peoples Day 2025, Governor Rogelio “Dok Roger” Espina visited Pulang Yuta Elementary School in Sitio Pulang Yuta, Cabibihan, Caibiran to distribute food packs to parents, livelihood assistance to Indigenous Peoples (IPs), and lead a feeding program for learners.

In his inspiring message, Governor Espina reminded everyone that while cell phones give us instant news, the most important updates are those we create through love, service, and education. He emphasized that poverty should never be a barrier to success—education is the key to breaking the cycle and building a brighter future.

The provincial government is committed to improving school facilities, protecting land from erosion, enhancing water sources, and exploring digital learning tools like Starlink internet to ensure students have access to modern education.

“No child should learn on an empty stomach,” the Governor said, pledging support for sustainable feeding programs and strong community partnerships.

Together, let’s dream big, work hard, and reach farther—for our families, our province, and our future.
