Governor Rogelio J. Espina has directed all Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices (MDRRMOs) in the Province of Biliran to immediately enforce forced evacuation of residents living near landslide-prone areas.

The Governor’s advisory comes as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of Biliranons amid threats of heavy rains and possible landslides in vulnerable communities.

Governor Espina emphasized the importance of prioritizing the protection of lives over property and urged local officials to act swiftly in implementing evacuation protocols.

Authorities are now closely monitoring high-risk zones, and evacuees are advised to proceed to designated evacuation centers prepared by their respective LGUs.
