NAVAL, BILIRAN – The Provincial Government of Biliran gave financial assistance to 420 farmers and fisherfolk . The aid will help them recover from the damage caused by Typhoon Opong.

Governor Rogelio J. Espina led the distribution at the Capitol Grounds. He told the beneficiaries, “This assistance is a bridge to recovery. We stand with you as you rebuild your livelihoods.”

The Governor also shared plans for the future. The province will partner with private insurers to protect farmers and livestock owners from future calamities. This shows a commitment to both immediate help and long-term security.

The program was organized by the Office of the Provincial Agricultural Services (OPAS). It shows the spirit of bayanihan—proving that by working together, Biliran can face the future with confidence.
