The Regional Champions for Good Local Governance (RCGLG) proudly announced sixty-six (66) Local Government Units in Eastern Visayas as the 2025 Local Governance Champions—a recognition honoring excellence, innovation, and dedication to genuine public service.

This achievement highlights the commitment of LGUs to strengthen transparency, accountability, participation, and effective governance. Each awardee represents a community working hard to uplift lives and deliver meaningful programs for its people.

Recognized municipalities across all six provinces—including Biliran, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Samar, Northern Samar, and Eastern Samar—have shown exemplary leadership and impactful governance efforts in their localities.

The declaration is grounded on RCGLG Resolution No. 003, Series of 2025, unanimously approved by the council, emphasizing the integrity and rigor of the selection process.

Through this recognition, the Department honors the tireless work of local leaders, employees, and community partners who continuously raise the standards of public service and development in Eastern Visayas.
