The grand opening was graced by Biliran Governor Rogelio J. Espina and Naval Mayor Gretchen Estepahanie Espina, Vice-Mayor Nick Arthur V. Parilla, Merlie G. Casas (Punong Brgy. Padre Inosentes Garcia), Ms. Adelfa Chong former Property owner, together with executives of Metro Retail Stores Group, Inc., led by President and COO Joel Orense.

Mayor Espina warmly welcomed Metro Gaisano to Naval, expressing gratitude for choosing the municipality as its newest home. She highlighted the importance of the investment in generating employment and strengthening the local economy, saying the long-awaited opening symbolizes resilience, unity, and continued development after years of challenges.

The event was filled with excitement as residents, visitors, local officials, and shoppers witnessed the ribbon-cutting ceremony and the opening of one of the biggest retail destinations in Biliran.
