The Provincial Local Government Unit of Biliran, through the Office of the Provincial Agricultural Services (OPAS), strengthened its commitment to food security and farmer protection by convening key agricultural stakeholders for a high-level consultative meeting focused on “Super El Niño” preparedness and the implementation of the “Sagip Saka” initiatives.

The gathering united Irrigators Associations, Municipal Agriculturists, rice producers, cooperative leaders, and partner agencies in crafting proactive strategies to safeguard Biliran’s agricultural sector against the threats of extreme dry spells and climate challenges.
