Once Upon A Time: A Disney-themed Paskuhan Sa Kapitolyo

Biliran Celebrates Disney-themed Christmas. 

In a break from the traditional celebration of yuletide season, the provincial government uniquely portrayed a Disney theme for this year’s Christmas. Opened Nov 28, the national government agencies have generously provided for the construction and setting-up of the Disney themes where the general public have immensely enjoyed.  They were assigned as follows: Entrance Arc – BiPSU; Lion King – BPPO, Frozen – DEPED, Cinderella – DILG, Little Mermaid – DENR/DAR/BFAR, Beauty and the Beast – DTI/PSA/LTO, Snow White – TESDA/CSC/DOST, Mulan – DOLE/DICT/PIA, Peter Pan – BFP, Alladin – PHIL. ARMY/BJMP, Moana – NFA/COMELEC/DOG/PAGIBIG, Giant Belen – BILECO; Castle Facade – DPWH.

The departments of the provincial government also clustered together to perform the nightly shows and parade. Although some shows were rescheduled due to adverse weather, all 7 clusters have performed well twice. The stage presentations and parade were clustered as follows: Lion King – Office of the Governor/PPDO/ Internal Audit Section/Prov’l. Jail and LEDIPO; Frozen – Biliran Provincial Hospital Group 1; Cinderella – Biliran Provincial Hospital Group 2; Little Mermaid – PSWDO/Admin/Legal/GSO/Treasury; Beauty and the Beast – Sangguniang Panlalawigan/Veterinary; Snow White – PHO/Tourism/PDRRMO/Assessor; and Mulan – PEO/OPAS/Budget and Accounting Office.
