The First 100 Days (in office) of Governor Gerard Roger M. Espina marks a new turning point in governance for Biliran, as the new local chief executive underscored a series of accomplishments achieved during the transition period and outlined the plans of action for the rest of 2022 and beyond.
Most notable of his achievements for the 1st 100 days was the establishment of Satellite Offices of the Governor in 7 of the province’s 8 municipalities which exclude the capital town Naval where the capitol building and provincial offices were located. Biliranons will no longer have to travel far to the capital from their towns and barangays to seek assistance from the office of the governor, as each town now has an open extention office providing the same services.
Another is the establishment of Balay Biliranons which offers free lodging to family members of patients admitted to the Eastern Visayas Medical Center who do not have any place to stay while attending to their patients.
Gov. Espina also emphasized the direction he will be taking the province into, most especially in food self-sufficiency, livelihood development, social services, tourism development and many others.
Gov. Gerard Roger Espina exhorts all Biliranons to join him in his journey for a better and more progressive Biliran.
